maybe -2 banefire +2 spark elemental, -4 demigod of revenge +2 spark elemental & +2 Shard Volley, -2 land +2 shock.
T1 Red/black land mogg fanatic
T2 Black Land Sygg
T3 mogg + shock = opp 17 draw
t4 Red land blightning = opp 14
t5 Red land incinerate + shard volley = opp 8
t6 red/black land hellspark + Spark elemental + lash out = opp -1 or 2.
t7 shock for the win
sorry I get now why you went land heavy and demigod, cause using sygg and low mana burn just doesn't cut it. a turn 7 win isn't really good enough unless you went land heavy.
Still say banefire needs a replacement though - don't know what, but it bugs me in this build. That and I still don't like mogg fanatic, great chump block early on, but always feel like there ought to be something better on turn 1.
I could go with figure of destiny instead of fanatic.
And +1 sygg +1 hells thunder instead of banefire?
Figure is way better with the amount of mana potential you have to use.
If sygg is the deck concept card, definitely 4 - but for me, it could stall you more than it helps.
For banefire I say good old threaten, you need to get 3 damage on the board somehow by rolling with critters, what happens when you take a blocker and turn it into an attacker - I'll tell you what, pure JoY!
that does sound pretty good...
Personally, I think the most fun way to go play with Sygg is Underworld Dreams/Howling Mine In UB Control.
Otherwise you are just playing Sygg as a Lightning Rod.
pandemonium is a lightning rod. sygg + burn is more like...an insurance collector...
Maybe sygg should be our challenge of the week then?
maybe sygg as a challenge - sorry to say it but, I'm kind of on board with Drok on sygg in burn, he screams kill me please. and because most of your critters die on their own at the end of the turn, your opponent will just be sitting and waiting with removal in his hand for sygg.
true enough--sygg is a mere 1/3 guy...which is precisely what makes him good. He isn't good enough to warrant targeted removal, not when my threats include FoD and DoR. If they do o-ring or path to exile sygg, I have the last laugh when I play a sincere threat next turn. And if they don't (and they should) then I get to draw at least twice on my turn, and maybe once on my opponents turn, too (incinerate or lashout during my opponents turn).
But I agree, sygg is weak. It is like a bad mulldrifter. However, for BR, he is pretty good. in my opinion.
I agree your opponents see an FoD he will eat up one of their removal spells for sure. Pre-FoD in the deck sygg is gone before he does anything fun. Post-FoD you probably actually might get to use him. And even then if they hit him too, that's 2 removal spells down, and you will be well on the road to a DoR - way scarier.
I'm not saying it's a bad combo, just needed FoD to draw off some of that removal. Mogg that dies on his own, doesn't really draw any removal spells his way.
