In case you dont know what Path to Exile is:

Path to Exile
w
Instant Uncommon
Remove target creature from the game. Its controller may search his or her library for a basic land card, put it into play tapped, then shuffle his or her library.

I was thinking something along the lines of a Dralnu or Guile featuring progenitus, with spalsh of black for removal and for masked mannequin to get your guy into play. The empyrial archangel could also work.

The angel and progenitus are both freaking hard to kill.

The problems:

1. damnation is not usable
2. there are lots of mono-red and kithkin in our local meta

I'll come up with a decklist here...

CREATURES
Empyrial Archangel
Progenitus
Mulldrifter
Plumeveil
Sower of Temptation
Razormane
Shriekmaw
Spellstutter Sprite

INSTANTS
Cryptic Command
Makeshift Mannequin
Faerie Trickery
Telling Time
Remove Soul
Negate

SORCERIES
Ponder
Infest

ENCHANTMENTS
Bitterblossom

PLANESWALKER
Jace Beleren

MISSING CARDS
WRATH OF GOD
ESPER CHARM?

I am lacking a discard outlet, and I don't want to use the merfolk looter. Maybe I will have to, though?

So I guess if you are working with those cards, you decide if you want your sideboard to be good for aggro (razormane, sower, shriekmaw, archangel, plumeveil) or if you want some of that stuff maindeck.

Another decision is are you going to run bitterblossom and spellstutter. I am thinking you board those in for game 2 or three if you lost the game before, and you'll be playing first. You don't want to tap out turn two for bitterblossom unless you're on the play, would be my guess.

4x Remove Soul
4x Negate
4x Mindstone
3x Jace Beleren
4x Cancel
4x Mulldrifter
4x Cryptic Command
4x Makeshift Mannequin
1x Progentius
1x Empyrial Archangel
2x Razormane Masticore
25 LANDS

sideboard
4x Spellstutter Sprite
4x Bitterblossom
3x Infest
4x Shriekmaw

Razormane Masticore is my only discard source, short of holding more than seven cards at the end of my turn. Since I won't be able to play progenitus unless he's in my yard, I'll have to discard him.

My draw is ok. Mindstone, Cryptic Command, Mulldrifter, Jace, and Mannequin a Mulldrifter. I might be better off running Ponder over Jace, but I'm assuming I'll be playing some comes-into-play-tapped lands, so a turn one ponder is not likely. True, turn three might be better off by land, ponder, reserve two untapped lands to threaten a counterspell? Jace does provide me an alternate win condition, gives me card advantage, and in extreme cases, can put a creature in my yard by targeting myself with his ultimate ability. I can't really image circumstances requiring that (unless everyone has the remove graveyard artifact in their boards in order to combat reveillark...) but it is worth pointing out all the same.

Control is c.command, cancel, remove soul and negate. Not that great. With enough card advantage, it is good enough to keep my mannequin'd progenitus in play.

If I splashed white, I could board esper charm and wrath. I decided not to. Perhaps I should?

Progenitus never goes to the yard. so mannequin doesn't work. If it didn't have the shuffle replacement effect, I would like this a lot. however, it just doesn't work, sorry.

Roops! Well, replace progenitus with something good, I guess. Guile, perhaps?

Back to the drawing board...

Guile wouldn't be in the yard, either... Another angel, I guess

lol I told you progenitus is the worst of the worst.
