Planes-Razer

So I've been checking out the Decks to Beat section on the gleemax forums whe I ran into this cute little thing. Its reminescient of that Walkers deck we were working on a bit back. Here's my slight variant:

3 Garruk Wildspeaker
3 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
2 Sarkhan Vol

4 Wooly Thoctar
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Bloom Tender
3 Realm Razer

4 Naya Charm
4 Firespout
4 Oblivion Ring

25 RGW lands.

Realm Razor would be such a fun card to play with. I don't know what bloom tender is, but I do know every one of those cards is good. I'll look up bloom tender here. Wow, what a fun build. I wonder why ajani vengeant ain't there, though? I'd imagine he's in the board. Maybe I'm over-rating him, but his ultimate ability wins, and his lightning helix wins, too.

I replaced vengeant with Sarkhan Vol actually, I'd like to play both, Im just not exactly sure what the cut to keep both in is.

Bloom Tender taps to add 1 mana of each color of permanents you control to your pool.

Ajani Vengeant
2RW
Planeswalker - Ajani
+1: Target permanent doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.
-2: Ajani Vengeant deals 3 damage to target creature or player and you gain 3 life.
-7: Destroy all lands target player controls.

Elspeth, Knight-Errant
Planeswalker - Elspeth
+1: Put a 1/1 white Soldier creature token into play.
+1: Target creature gets +3/+3 and gains flying until end of turn.
-8: For the rest of the game, artifacts, creatures, enchantments, and lands you control are indestructible.

Pros:
Ajani:
2 Colors - works well with Bloom Tender
Works well with Realm Razer : (keeps new lands tapped down)
Lightning Helix's new Threats or opponent.
Final ability acts as a back up to Realm Razer

Elspeth:
Creates Card Advantage (soldier tokens for free)
Can give creatures p/t boost and evasion
Final ability protects v. wrath (and other removal.)

Cons:
Ajani: 3 loyalty and most important ability cost 2, making Ajani easier to kill; final ability is extraneous, Realm Razer takes care of that for us.

Elspeth: only one color, not as good with Bloom Tender; No DD; Final ability will only be needed in certain matchups.

Ultimately, I think that Elspeth is the better call over Ajani, though there are some valid arguments to running Ajani as well. Card Advantage will last longer with Elspeth and you still have a win con built into the Knight (4/4 flying tokens can win, or even 8/7 flying beasts.)

My main concern wasn't addressed: elspeth is $25, ajani vengeant is $8.

I love elspeth and would love to include her into any deck I built, but my casual fnm infrequent apperances don't really validate me dropping that much money. I'd save $50 by using ajani instead of elspeth.
